The studio emphasizes the crucial role of community input during a critical development phase. "This game has immense potential," stated Vince Zampella, Head of Respawn & Group GM for EA Studios Organization. "Battlefield Labs empowers our teams to unlock that potential through pre-alpha testing and direct community engagement."

The initiative involves testing various aspects of the game's design, starting with core combat and destruction mechanics. This will progress to weapon, vehicle, and gadget balancing, ultimately culminating in feedback on map design, game modes, and squad dynamics. Established modes like Conquest and Breakthrough will also be included, providing opportunities to refine existing gameplay.

Conquest, a large-scale mode centered around capturing control points, utilizes a ticket-based system. Breakthrough, on the other hand, features attackers and defenders vying for sector control, with a similar ticket system but with additional rewards for successful sector captures. The class system is another area ripe for player feedback, with Battlefield Studios seeking to optimize its form, function, and overall feel.
