Assassin's Creed Shadows Art Book Leaks on a Hentai Site, of All Places

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 19,2025

New details about the upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows have surfaced online following the alleged leak of an artbook, surprisingly found on a hentai website, among other places.

Discovered on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, the "Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows" artbook has rapidly spread across the internet. It boasts hundreds of pages showcasing concept art, developer quotes, and insights into the development of the next Assassin's Creed title.

While the leak itself is noteworthy, its alleged origin from a hentai-hosting site adds an unexpected layer of intrigue. IGN has reached out to Ubisoft for comment. Although the gallery was initially removed from the original site, it has since been archived on various file-sharing platforms and image galleries.

The leaked artbook reveals intriguing details, including concepts for renowned historical figures, major cities, and a diverse array of weaponry. The artwork also seemingly hints at potential plot spoilers for Assassin's Creed Shadows. While confirmation awaits the game's release, the leaked images appear authentic.

This leak comes just before Assassin's Creed Shadows' launch on March 20, 2025, following a delay that pushed its release from 2024 into February.

At a recent preview event, IGN spoke with Assassin's Creed Shadows game director, Charles Benoit. He confirmed the month-long delay was primarily focused on polishing the game, without altering core systems. Benoit added that minor adjustments were made to progression and balancing, but the most significant refinement involved the parkour system, which faced unique challenges in the setting of Feudal Japan.

"The Japanese architecture, the roofs are super complex," he explained. "Probably the most complex thing I've ever worked with compared to Odyssey and Syndicate. We needed specific codes and animations to support super fluid movement, changing the parkour transitions for even greater fluidity. That's specific feedback we wanted to address, and it's significantly improved in recent months."
