Deadlock Gets a Big Update from Valve

Deadlock's Major Overhaul: A Three-Lane Battlefield

Valve has released a substantial update for Deadlock, completely revamping its core map design. The four-lane layout has been streamlined to a more traditional three-lane structure, common in MOBAs.

This fundamental change dramatically alters gameplay. The previous "1 vs 2" lane distribution is obsolete; now, expect a "2 vs 2" arrangement in each lane, necessitating revised strategic approaches and resource allocation.

The map's elements – neutral camps, buffs, etc. – have been repositioned to complement the new three-lane structure. A new "map exploration" mode has been added, allowing players to familiarize themselves with the revised layout without the pressure of combat.

Beyond the map, the Soul Orb system has been refined. Players can now accumulate souls even without directly securing the kill, accelerating resource gathering. Soul effects have also been tweaked, reducing air-hover times.

Further improvements include adjustments to sprint mechanics and character balance, alongside enhanced performance and bug fixes. The update also adds support for DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 technologies. Consult the official patch notes for a comprehensive list of changes.
