Author:Kristen Update:Jun 09,2026

Shift Up has released updates for both the PlayStation 5 and PC versions of Stellar Blade, addressing numerous bugs and technical issues.

While this update doesn't introduce major new content like additional storylines or costumes to entice players who have already completed the game, it resolves a range of problems. These fixes cover issues in Photo Mode, dialogue sequences, keyboard input responses, and instances of missing hair or weapon models.

Here are the key improvements:

Stellar Blade Update 1.3.0 Patch Notes

Photo Mode has been improved so that logo control indicators are now displayed when a logo is selected. Fixed an issue where players could not exit Clyde's shop after purchasing the 'Polarized Sunglasses'. Resolved a bug where Eve's hair would not appear during the final Elder Naytiba cutscene when wearing the 'Fluffy Bear' or 'Pink Bear' outfits. Corrected an issue where Eve's final Korean voice-over line was cut short during the 'Lost Items from Heaven' conversation with Clyde in the Great Desert. Fixed an occasional problem where Eve's arm appeared unnatural in Photo Mode while wearing the 'Black Pearl' or 'Red Pearl' outfits. When using the FSR upscaler, a game restart is now required to enable frame generation. Addressed an issue where the Fusion Weapon was not visible when starting the fight against the Airborne Squad after defeating Providence. Fixed a problem in the Training Room where using the keyboard's numpad to trigger skills could cause the training system to become unresponsive. Resolved an issue where, when fishing for the 'Betta' fish with a mouse and keyboard, the gray striped pattern of the progress bar sometimes obscured the reel-in progress indicator. Fixed a target lock-on malfunction that occurred with the 'Stinger' under specific input conditions. Corrected an issue where the zoom function in the Hair Salon menu would not respond to controller or keyboard inputs. Addressed an occasional problem where dialogue would not display after interacting with Adam in the Eidos 9 Atelier. Fixed a bug where Dororong would sometimes not appear during their introduction scene in Xion. Resolved an issue where newly unlocked items would not appear immediately after increasing a shop's affinity level. Improved the save timestamp system to accurately display the time since the last successful save, rather than the last save attempt. Enhanced the save failure message by changing its color to yellow for better visibility. Various other bug fixes have also been implemented.

The PC version of Stellar Blade launched on June 11 and has already become Sony's most successful single-player game launch on Steam. PC-exclusive features include AI upscaling through Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceovers, ultrawide display support, higher-resolution environment textures, and DualSense controller support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

IGN's review of Stellar Blade awarded the game a 7/10, stating: "Stellar Blade excels in the core elements crucial for an action game, but it's held back by underdeveloped characters, an uninspiring narrative, and several frustrating aspects of its RPG mechanics, preventing it from reaching the top tier of the genre."

Additionally, a sequel, Stellar Blade 2, has been confirmed to be in development.
