Insomniac Games, renowned for their beloved series like Ratchet and Clank, have expressed a strong interest in bringing more of their iconic games to the screen. This revelation came from co-Studio Head Ryan Schneider during a recent interview with Variety, coinciding with the retirement announcement of the studio's founder and long-time CEO, Ted Price.

"Reflecting on the Ratchet and Clank movie from a few years back, we jumped on that opportunity early," Schneider remarked. "We're definitely keen on exploring more such projects, especially with our beloved Ratchet and Clank franchise." The 2016 Ratchet and Clank film received mixed reviews, but with Insomniac's acquisition by Sony in 2019, the studio feels optimistic about their future in game-to-screen adaptations, buoyed by Sony's successful ventures like The Last of Us, which has been critically acclaimed.

In a significant transition for Insomniac Games, founder and CEO Ted Price announced his retirement after leading the studio for three decades. Insomniac is the creative force behind iconic franchises such as "Spyro the Dragon," "Ratchet & Clank," and "Marvel’s Spider-Man." Price shared, "I made this decision last year. After over 30 years at the helm, it's time for me to step aside and let new leadership take the reins for our team."

The company will now be led by three Insomniac veterans as Co-Studio Heads: Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern, and Jen Huang. Price emphasized the importance of this transition, stating, "For us to continue our success, we need leaders who are deeply familiar with our culture and processes, and who have earned the trust of our team."
