Embracer Group celebrates the phenomenal success of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, reporting sales nearing the 2 million mark just ten days after its February 4th release. The game, developed by Warhorse Studios, launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Initial sales figures were already impressive, with 1 million copies sold within the first 24 hours.

This sequel's success is particularly noteworthy on Steam, where it boasted over 250,000 concurrent players at its peak—a significant leap compared to the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 seven years prior. While the actual peak concurrent player count is likely higher due to console sales, those figures remain undisclosed by Sony and Microsoft.

CEO Lars Wingefors attributes this success to the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver. He anticipates continued strong revenue generation over the next few years, citing the game's high quality and immersive experience. A planned roadmap includes updates and new content for the next year.

Beyond Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Embracer anticipates the release of Killing Floor 3 later this quarter (January-March 2025). The company boasts over 5,000 game developers working on its upcoming titles, including ten triple-A games slated for release over the next three fiscal years (FY 2025/26, FY 2026/27, and FY 2027/28). Eight of these are from internal studios, with the remaining two from external partners.

FY 2025/26 will see two triple-A releases towards the year's end. Additional mid-sized releases include Gothic 1 Remake, REANIMAL, Fellowship, Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, Titan Quest II, Screamer, Echoes of the End (working title), Tides of Tomorrow, Satisfactory (console), and the full release of Wreckfest 2, along with several more unannounced titles.

Despite recent challenges, including staff reductions and studio sales (including Gearbox and Saber Interactive), Embracer remains committed to its portfolio, including 4A Games, currently developing a new Metro installment.
