In the competitive world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer, countless final kills are captured and shared online, showcasing players' impressive skills. However, few are as remarkable as this one.
The Ricochet Blades, unique ammunition for the D1.3 Sector secondary weapon, introduced during last month's controversial Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event, quickly became a topic of conversation due to their unpredictable, bouncing trajectory.
Player kev99gh captured and shared a final kill in a hardcore Search and Destroy match on the Lowtown map. The clip shows a Ricochet Blade—affectionately nicknamed a "pizza" by the community—bouncing out of the map, then back in, for a one-hit kill on an unsuspecting enemy peeking from a window.
Longest ricochet blade ever. Bounced a pizza out of the map. Final kill cam.

kev99gh's incredible feat might be the longest Ricochet Blade kill ever recorded, considering the blade's journey outside the map's boundaries. The video shows kev99gh lining up the shot, firing blindly, then switching to the overhead map view to track the blade as it bounces along the map's edge before returning for the kill.
These elaborate, seemingly improbable trick shots aren't purely luck. Redditor SpawnTubing, who shared kev99gh's clip, explained that skilled Black Ops 6 players "look for and practice common camping spots." Commenters also noted the impeccable timing of the enemy player peeking just as the "pizza" flew through the window—a scenario familiar to many Black Ops 6 players.
The Ricochet Blades have seemingly sparked a bounce-kill meta, with numerous (though less spectacular) kills across various multiplayer maps appearing online. Some kills, like the one below, involve multiple bounces before hitting their target.

However, not all players are impressed. Some find the bouncing blades frustrating and annoying. These critics will be unhappy to learn that developer Treyarch recently buffed the Ricochet Blades' physics and bouncing speeds, ensuring a one-hit kill on contact. The relevant patch notes are:
D1.3 Sector
Our initial design for the D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades revolved around quickly launching many high-speed blades, meant to perform best blind firing into enclosed spaces. We have been following your feedback and agree that, in practice, the use cases for this ammo type are too low. The Ricochet Blades will now do 100 damage to enable one-hit kills, and to compensate we are lowering the fire rate and projectile speed. We think the popularity of this ammo type will see some new interest with these changes and look forward to seeing more of your cross-map killcams in MP.
Ricochet Blades
It seems the dominance of the Ricochet Blades is set to intensify, especially with Season 3 and the anticipated return of Verdansk to Warzone on the horizon.
