Techland Expands Dying Light 2 with Free Tower Raid Roguelite Mode

Techland's Dying Light 2 continues to evolve with the addition of Tower Raid, a thrilling roguelite-inspired mode offering unpredictable gameplay and high-stakes survival challenges. Following extensive testing, this highly anticipated mode is now live, providing a completely fresh experience within the infected world.

Instead of playing as Aiden Caldwell, players choose from four distinct warrior archetypes: Tank, Brawler, Ranger, or Specialist. Each class boasts unique abilities, encouraging diverse playstyles and strategic teamwork. For those seeking an ultimate test of skill, Tower Raid allows solo play or smaller team sizes.

The mode features three difficulty levels—Quick, Normal, and Elite—affecting intensity and run length. Procedurally generated levels ensure each tower ascent is unique, with shifting layouts and unpredictable enemy encounters demanding adaptability.

A new progression system ensures every failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, steadily increasing chances of success in future runs. At the tower's heart, players encounter Sola, a mysterious merchant offering rare rewards like the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to those who prove their worth.

While preparing for the upcoming Dying Light: The Beast, Techland remains dedicated to enhancing Dying Light 2 throughout 2025. Future updates include improved co-op mechanics, refined matchmaking, expanded community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a new weapon class, prologue enhancements, and significant graphical and technical optimizations.
