Author:Kristen Update:Mar 15,2025

Capcom has released hotfix 1.000.05.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across all platforms, addressing several critical issues and improving the overall gameplay experience. This patch tackles various progression blockers and bugs, though players shouldn't expect performance enhancements based on the patch notes below.

Despite a "Mixed" user review rating on Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved phenomenal success, selling 8 million copies in just three days—a new record for Capcom. The game also boasts the fifth-highest concurrent player count ever on Steam, peaking at a staggering 1,384,608 players—surpassing titles like Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. This is a significant leap compared to its predecessor, Monster Hunter: World, which peaked at 334,684 concurrent players.

A major title update is planned for early April, promising a new endgame area and exciting new monster hunts.
