Subnautica is making its long-awaited debut on mobile platforms. Initially launched in 2018 for PC and Mac, this immersive deep-sea survival game quickly became a fan favorite and was soon brought to PlayStation, Xbox, and next-gen consoles. A sequel and several spin-offs have since expanded the franchise, but now, mobile gamers can finally dive into the original adventure.
When Is Subnaturica Coming to Mobile?
Subnautica will officially launch on Android devices on July 8th, 2025. Unknown Worlds Entertainment has released a brand-new trailer showcasing the mobile version, demonstrating that the game retains its stunning visual quality even on smaller screens. While the visuals impress, fans are hopeful that performance will match expectations.

If you're unfamiliar with the game, here's a quick summary: You assume the role of Ryley Robinson, the sole survivor of a spaceship crash that leaves you stranded on the alien water world of planet 4546B. With no way home and limited resources, you must survive by managing your oxygen supply, gathering food and water, and crafting essential tools.
As you explore the vast underwater environment, you’ll construct submarines, build underwater habitats, and avoid dangerous sea creatures. Alongside the survival elements, an intriguing storyline unfolds through mysterious clues scattered across the ocean floor—offering insight into the planet’s past and potential escape routes.
Pre-Registration Now Available
Developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Subnautica delivers a first-person open-world experience.
