Lost Soul Aside, the eagerly awaited action game for PC and PlayStation 5, has been delayed by three months, moving its release from May 30 to August 29, 2025. Developer Ultizero Games shared this update, highlighting their dedication to ensuring the game meets their high standards of quality.

"We are truly grateful for the positive response we've received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside," Ultizero Games stated. "We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch."

Originally the brainchild of solo developer Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside has evolved significantly. Now a major title under Sony's China Hero Project, Yang Bing has transitioned from a solo creator to the founder and CEO of the Shanghai-based studio, Ultizero Games.

In a recent interview with IGN, Yang Bing discussed the extensive development journey of Lost Soul Aside. From its humble beginnings to a high-profile reveal at Sony's State of Play, the game has garnered substantial attention. Many fans and critics alike have praised its blend of Final Fantasy-esque characters and Devil May Cry-style combat, a concept that captured widespread interest following Bing's initial viral reveal video in 2016.

The game's protagonist, Kesar, wields a versatile, shape-shifting weapon that allows players to switch playstyles dynamically. Kesar is accompanied by a dragon-like ally named Arena, who can summon abilities to aid in combat. Emphasizing aerial dodging, precision timing, combos, and countering, Lost Soul Aside also features epic boss battles. Its narrative weaves a sci-fi story across multiple dimensions, with Yang Bing describing Kesar's path as one of "redemption and discovery."
