FFVII Rebirth Gets PS5 Visual Upgrades: Square Enix

The PC version not only boasts superior visuals compared to the PS5 edition but also delivers more stable performance, sparking discussions about the need for a PlayStation 5 update. Currently, the PS5 version's performance mode suffers from blurry graphics, leaving base console owners waiting for potential patches. According to game director Naoki Hamaguchi, any improvements must work within the platform's technical constraints.

"Following the PC version's promotional release, we've received numerous requests for a comparable PS5 update," Hamaguchi stated. "We're looking into implementing enhancements where possible within the PS5 version's performance limitations."

The community remains hopeful that Square Enix will address player feedback and refine the console visuals. While the development team is focused on the sequel, Hamaguchi urges patience, promising more details will emerge later. 2024 proved successful for Final Fantasy Rebirth, the trilogy's second entry, earning global recognition and multiple awards. The upcoming third installment presents unique challenges as developers strive to expand the game's audience.

Interestingly, Hamaguchi expressed admiration for another major title - Grand Theft Auto VI. The director voiced support for Rockstar Games' team, acknowledging the immense pressure following GTA V's unprecedented success.
