The ESRB rating for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has confirmed the return of the Peep Demo Theater. Discover what this feature entails and explore updates to the game’s camouflage system.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) has earned an M for Mature rating from the ESRB, signaling a faithful remake that includes the return of the Peep Demo Theater. According to the ESRB summary, this feature, seen in the Subsistence and HD Collection versions of Metal Gear Solid 3, will reappear in the upcoming release.
The Peep Demo Theater allows players to view every cutscene featuring female spy EVA in her underwear, with the ability to freely adjust the camera and zoom in on her body. Unlocking this mode requires collecting all other cutscenes in the Demo Theater, which demands four complete playthroughs of the game.
The M rating aligns with the game’s premise, where players control an elite soldier navigating enemy territory, engaging in intense violence and gore. However, the return of the Peep Demo Theater, often dubbed “Creepy mode,” has surprised fans due to its explicit and controversial content, which many assumed would be omitted in the remake.
Another highlight for MGS Delta is its revamped camouflage system, showcased in a March 28 post by METAL GEAR OFFICIAL on Twitter (X). The post highlighted a video demonstrating a faster way to switch camouflage, stating, “Swap face and uniform camo instantly with this new feature in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER.”
The footage revealed that players can now change camouflage in under three seconds, a vast improvement over the original Metal Gear Solid 3, where switching camo required pausing the game, navigating menus, and selecting options—a process that disrupted gameplay flow, particularly during stealth missions.
With the release of MGS Delta approaching, excitement is building for a remake that blends nostalgic features with modern improvements, enhancing the overall experience. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is slated for release on August 26, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
