CS2 incoming: Halo Infinite Set to Launch S&D Extraction Mode with Deep Economic Mechanics

Halo Infinite, while perhaps not dominating the headlines like some other titles, continues to receive dedicated content updates. A recent addition is S&D Extraction, a competitive game mode designed to offer a strategic and refreshing experience.

Inspired by Counter-Strike's core gameplay, S&D Extraction puts a unique Halo twist on the classic formula. Two teams of four players face off—attackers aiming to plant a device at a designated point, and defenders striving to prevent them. Teams switch roles after each round, with the first team to win six rounds claiming victory.

The mode introduces a robust economic system. Players earn in-game currency through objectives, using it to purchase equipment at the start of each round. Pricing dynamically adjusts based on player performance, ensuring a constantly shifting meta. Importantly, all purchased gear is lost at the end of each round.

Item costs reflect their in-round effectiveness and power. Expect cheaper options early on, escalating prices mid-match, and potentially even more expensive gear available later if players manage their earnings effectively. Respawning after elimination will also be a purchasable option.

Launching in 2025, S&D Extraction promises a dynamic and engaging competitive experience for Halo Infinite players, adding a new layer of depth and excitement to the game.
