Supermassive Games, das anerkannte Studio hinter Horror -Titeln wie bis zum Dawn, The Quarry und The Dark Pictures Anthology, hat Berichten zufolge die Entwicklung eines zuvor unangekündigten Blade Runner -Spiels mit dem Titel "Blade Runner: Time to Live" gestoppt.

Laut Insider Gaming wurde das Spiel im Jahr 2065 als "charakterorientiertes, filmisches, action-adventure" -Set vorgesehen. Es hätte sich um so leichte, ein Vintage-Nexus-6-Modell und der letzte Blade-Läufer konzentriert, der mit der Pensionierung des Anführers eines unterirdischen Replikantennetzwerks beauftragt war. Die Erzählung hätte so lange als tote Verrat und Navigation durch Gameplay-Segmente, die Stealth, Kampf, Exploration, Untersuchung und dramatische Charakter-Interaktionen gehörten, verraten und zurückgelassen.

Insider Gaming gab auch bekannt, dass Blade Runner: Time to Live ein Entwicklungsbudget von rund 45 Millionen US -Dollar hatte, was 9 Millionen US -Dollar für externe Leistungsaufnahmen und schauspielerische Talente enthielt. Das Spiel sollte ein 10-12-Stunden-Single-Player-Erlebnis anbieten, wobei die Vorproduktion ab September 2024 und eine geplante Veröffentlichung im September 2027 für PC und sowohl der aktuellen als auch der nächsten Generation Konsolen für die nächste Generation.

Die Stornierung des Projekts wurde auf Probleme mit Alcon Entertainment, dem Rechtsinhaber des Blade Runner -Franchise, zugeschrieben und Berichten zufolge Ende letzten Jahres stattgefunden.

In anderen Blade Runner Gaming News kündigte der Verlag Annapurna Interactive im Sommer 2023 an, dass er an seinem ersten internen Spiel "Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth", das das erste Blade Runner-Spiel seit 25 Jahren markiert, arbeitete. Es gab jedoch keine weiteren Aktualisierungen zu diesem Projekt.

Inmitten dieser Entwicklungen war Supermassive Games mit mehreren Projekten beschäftigt, darunter der bevorstehende Eintrag in The Dark Pictures Series, Directive 8020 und Little Nightmares.
