Hopetown, ein nichtlineares RPG, das von Longdue Games entwickelt wurde, führt einen neuen Ansatz zum narrativen Gameplay vor. Das Studio wurde von ehemaligen Mitarbeitern von ZA/UM, Rockstar Games und Bungie gegründet und hat seinen ersten Blick auf die Mechanik des Spiels vorgestellt und es als spirituellen Nachfolger für Disco -Elysium positioniert. Die Handlung dreht sich um einen Journalisten, der nach einer Nacht mit starkem Trinken in einer Bergbaustadt aufwacht. Die Spieler müssen mit einem klopfenden Kater zu kämpfen und müssen zusammenstellen, was passiert ist, und in einem wachsenden lokalen Konflikt zu navigieren.

Screenshots zeigen eine dialoglastige Erfahrung, bei der die Entscheidungen der Spieler die Richtung der Geschichte erheblich beeinflussen. Das Spiel bietet mehrere Archetypen, die jeweils einzigartige Linien und Ansätze für Gespräche bieten. Wenn Sie beispielsweise mit einer alten Frau interagieren, die Tauben füttert, können die Spieler unterschiedliche Töne annehmen, die das Ergebnis der Interaktion verändern können.
