A leaked Zenless Zone Zero update reveals a new Version 1.5 event featuring a Fall Guys-style multiplayer platformer game mode. This temporary event, tentatively titled "Grand Marcel," is expected to launch alongside the late January update introducing Astra Yao, Evelyn, and additional content.

Version 1.4 recently added two permanent battle-focused modes, but HoYoverse has a history of incorporating temporary, unique gameplay events. The current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event showcases this trend with its tower defense mode. The leaked platformer stages, similar to Fall Guys, suggest a significant departure from the game's core combat. While the leak doesn't confirm playable characters, it hints at potential rewards including Polychromes and additional free pulls.

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events; Honkai Impact 3rd's 2022 "Midnight Chronicle" event utilized a similar format with chibi character representations. This precedent suggests Zenless Zone Zero might follow suit, potentially using chibi versions of existing characters or even the popular Bangboo.

The Version 1.5 update, slated for January 22nd, will also introduce Astra Yao and Evelyn as playable characters. Further leaks suggest a potential Nicole character skin and an Agent Story for Ellen. The addition of a platformer event adds another layer of excitement to the anticipated update.
