Torchlight: Infinite is set to unveil its thrilling next chapter with the launch of Season 8: Sandlord on April 17th. This season promises a significant overhaul, introducing a host of new features and gameplay mechanics that will elevate the ARPG experience to new heights. From floating cities and economic management to real-world prizes, players are in for an exciting ride.

In Season 8, players will venture into the skies to build their empire in the newly introduced Cloud Oasis. This innovative mechanic allows you to engage in economic gameplay by trading resources, managing workers, and overseeing production lines to fortify your aerial stronghold. It’s a refreshing twist on the traditional monster-grinding formula, offering a strategic layer to the gameplay.

Thea, a familiar face, returns with a revamped trait called Blasphemer. This new ability replaces her divine powers with a curse known as Desecration. Starting off weak, Desecration scales powerfully, amplifying Erosion damage based on the depletion of her blessing power. This mechanic opens up intriguing build possibilities, especially for players who enjoy damage-over-time strategies and synergy-rich setups. You can further customize her abilities to trigger area-of-effect explosions or effects that scale with health, adding depth to your gameplay.

Endgame content is also receiving a major update. Deep Space has been completely overhauled, featuring five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. Players can now adjust the risk and reward dynamics through the new Probes system. By activating Probes, you can increase the difficulty of your encounters, which in turn, offers the potential for better loot, including coveted Compass chests via the Compass Probe.

Season 8 introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling you to fuse Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot. This system provides deeper build customization options, allowing for more nuanced and powerful character development. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to the roster, challenging players on the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown and within Plane Watcher.

To celebrate the launch, Torchlight: Infinite is hosting the Sands of Fortune anniversary event from April 17th to May 1st. During this period, players can complete various tasks to earn Gold Rush Attempts and compete for a chance to win from a prize pool valued at $250,000.
