"Polytopia Introduces Weekly Challenges Mode"

The Battle of Polytopia has spiced things up with the launch of Weekly Challenges, offering a novel way to sharpen your skills in this beloved 4X strategy game. Let's dive into what this new feature entails and how it can enhance your gaming experience.

It Was Random Before

Previously, the game's randomness was a significant factor, with varying enemies, resources, and maps keeping players on their toes. However, the latest free update introduces a more structured competitive environment.

Each week, all players face the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? Amass the highest score possible within 20 turns. You're allowed one attempt per day, totaling up to seven tries per week.

A unique aspect of Weekly Challenges is the opportunity to play as tribes you might not have purchased yet. The game boasts 16 tribes in total—four included in the base game and twelve more available for purchase at $1-4 each. However, in The Battle of Polytopia Weekly Challenges, everyone competes as the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?

Absolutely, the introduction of Weekly Challenges is set to invigorate the gameplay. Additionally, a new League system has been implemented. Starting in the Entry League, your performance each week determines whether you move up, down, or stay in the same league. The top third of players advance, the bottom third drop down, and the middle group remains unchanged.

As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty level increases. In the Entry League, you'll face AI on Easy mode, but by the time you reach the Gold League, you'll be up against Crazy difficulty bots. Missing a week won't result in demotion, but your ranking will adjust based on the performance of others.
