Path of Exile 2's trade chat buzzes with demand for White Stellar Amulets, fetching 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs each. This high price might puzzle many players. Why are these amulets so valuable? The answer lies in their potential for transformation. Anyone paying this much either needs the amulet for a specific build or plans to convert it into something even more lucrative. Let's break it down.

What Makes White Stellar Amulets Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

Plain White Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes" modifier, are key ingredients in creating the Astramentis Stellar Amulet—one of the game's most prized unique amulets. This transformation is achieved using an Orb of Chance.

Astramentis' immense power stems from its ability to grant a massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes exceptionally well with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly sought-after unique item, enhancing attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only White Stellar Amulets can be used to craft Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets won't work. This exclusivity is precisely what makes the normal-rarity amulets so valuable.

Should You Sell White Stellar Amulets or Use the Orb of Chance?

The odds of successfully obtaining Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are incredibly slim. Even using 100 amulets might not guarantee success. While luck could strike, it's a long shot.

The decision to sell or gamble is entirely yours. Selling a White Stellar Amulet will yield 10-30 Exalted Orbs, depending on the current market price. Alternatively, you can roll the dice and hope for a potentially massive payout. It's a high-risk, high-reward gamble, and the choice is yours.

How to Use Orb of Chance To Get Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt the transformation, place the White Stellar Amulet in your inventory. Right-click the Orb of Chance and then left-click the amulet to begin the process. Possible outcomes include:

  • The amulet is destroyed.
  • The amulet upgrades to a unique sharing the same base type. For Stellar Amulets, these are:
    1. Astramentis
    2. Fixation of Yix

Fixation of Yix, the more common result, is significantly less desirable than Astramentis. Remember, failure means losing the amulet entirely.
