On medium and large maps, the Parabolic Microphone is invaluable for locating ghosts by sound. It picks up various ghost-related noises, such as objects being thrown, doors moving, and vocalizations. This can help complete optional objectives requiring you to record the ghost's voice. Some ghosts, like the Deogen or Banshee, have unique sounds only detectable with this microphone, aiding in identification.
