Night Slashers Remake Hits Android

Night Slashers returns as a remake for Android. Originally launched in 1993 by Data East, this cult-classic beat 'em up has been revived with even more gore. Forever Entertainment and Storm Trident have worked to preserve the original game’s spirit in this updated version.

In this game, you enter a horror-filled apocalypse where zombies, mutants, werewolves, mummies, and even Dracula await. You'll punch Frankenstein’s monster in the face to save the world from destruction. You begin by playing the first level as Christopher Smith.

Night Slashers: Remake stays true to its arcade-style brawler roots. It features seven stages broken into smaller sections, with classic left-to-right movement. Each stage culminates in a boss battle, pitting you against iconic horror villains in intense fights.

If you attempt to rush forward without clearing out the undead horde behind you, the game blocks your progress. You must eliminate every enemy on screen to proceed. Take a look at the game in action below.

The remake introduces expanded combat mechanics, allowing you to chain together combos, perform aerial attacks, and execute special moves. Visual improvements include blood splatter effects, dynamic lighting, and smoother animations.

Night Slashers: Remake embraces a campy horror tone, reminiscent of low-budget monster movies. You can even customize the gameplay with options like exploding corpses or imposing a punishing time limit.

In addition to the original three characters, the remake adds a new fighter. This enables four-player local co-op. The first level is free to play, while the full version unlocks additional characters, stages, and various gameplay modifiers.
