"Necesse: Ultimate Guide to Breeding Animals"

In survival games like *Necesse*, versatility is key, but one thing remains constant: the importance of breeding. Here's your comprehensive guide to mastering animal husbandry in *Necesse*.

Before you can play matchmaker with your livestock, you need to know how to get them to stay in your settlement. Taming in *Necesse* is similar to *Minecraft*, where you offer animals treats to win their affection. In this game, Wheat is the key, and it's readily available. If you've played for a few hours, you've likely planted Wheat Seeds around your settlement, or you might find them in caves.

To tame the animals, you can feed them Wheat directly or use Feeding Troughs. The latter saves time, allowing you to focus on fortifying your settlement and repelling raiders. However, neglecting to refill the Troughs can lead to dire consequences, as hungry animals will lose taming progress. If you manage everything correctly, all the animals in your settlement will join your cause, setting the stage for breeding.

How To Breed Animals in Necesse

With a loyal animal army at your disposal, the possibilities in *Necesse* are endless. To start breeding, you'll need a male and female of the same species, much like in *Pokemon* (though without a Ditto equivalent). Construct a fence for the pair, and if they're fully tamed, they'll enter Love Mode. After a few minutes, a baby will appear in the pen, and it will take a bit more time for it to grow to full size.

Be cautious about overcrowding; too many animals in one pen can stall the breeding process. It's better to create smaller pens dedicated to breeding and transfer animals one at a time. While this might seem time-consuming, especially as you progress, there's a way to automate the process and ease your workload.

How To Automate Breeding in Necesse

Not everyone is passionate about husbandry, and that's perfectly fine. Once you can recruit Settlers, you'll find the Animal Keeper, who can take over all the husbandry tasks in your settlement, including maintaining the Feeding Troughs. This keeps your animals happy and focused on breeding. While you'll still need to ensure everything runs smoothly, the daily management of animals won't be your top priority anymore.

And that's your complete guide to animal husbandry and breeding in *Necesse*.
