Want to use or mute voice chat in Monster Hunter Wilds? Multiplayer doesn't necessitate constant communication. If you prefer in-game voice chat over Discord or other party systems, here's how to manage it.

All voice chat settings reside within the game's audio menu. Access the options menu (in-game or main menu), navigate to the third tab from the right, and scroll down to find the Voice Chat settings. Choose from three options: Enable (always on), Disable (always off), and Push-to-Talk (activates voice chat only when a designated key is pressed; keyboard only).

Further options control voice chat volume and auto-toggle behavior. Auto-toggle prioritizes voice chat with either quest members (those currently in your hunting party), link party members (those in a linked party, useful for collaborative story progression), or disables automatic switching entirely. Quest members are generally the preferred setting.

That covers voice chat in Monster Hunter Wilds. While the in-game audio quality may not rival dedicated apps, it's a convenient option, particularly for cross-platform play.
