Hirabami presents a formidable challenge in Monster Hunter Wilds. Unlike many monsters that prefer solitude, Hirabami thrives in groups, making the battle more complex. To manage this, equip yourself with Large Dung Pods. These invaluable tools can disperse the monsters, allowing you to tackle them individually and increase your chances of success.
Hirabami's tendency to float in the air can be particularly frustrating, especially for melee weapon users. Ranged weapon users, such as those wielding Bows, will find it easier to engage. For melee fighters, Heavy Slicing Pod Slinger ammo is your key to bringing Hirabami down to earth. If you're out of ammo, aim to sever Hirabami's tail; it will drop a Tail Claw Shard, which you can convert into the necessary ammo.
The Iceshard Cliffs, Hirabami's battleground, are dotted with environmental traps that can turn the tide of battle in your favor. You'll encounter Ice Spikes, Floating Rubble, and Brittle Ice Pillars. Dropping one of these on Hirabami can stun and inflict significant damage, providing a crucial opening for attack.
The head is Hirabami's most vulnerable spot, but reaching it can be tricky due to its aerial habits. Ranged weapon users have a clear advantage here, while melee users should target the neck when Hirabami descends. Avoid the torso, as it's heavily armored and less effective to hit.
Hirabami's unpredictable movements make it a challenging foe. It frequently attempts to bite or spit at you, and its dive attacks from high altitudes can be devastating. Keep an eye on its head to anticipate these moves. Additionally, be cautious of its tail, which it uses like a hammer to smash you. Constant movement and vigilance are key to avoiding these attacks.

To capture Hirabami in Monster Hunter Wilds, you must first reduce its health to 20 percent or less. You'll know you're close when a skull icon appears next to the monster icon on your mini-map. At this point, deploy a Pitfall Trap or a Shock Trap to immobilize Hirabami. Act swiftly to administer a Tranquilizer, as you have only a brief window before the creature escapes. Successfully capturing Hirabami will end the fight and grant you the standard rewards, though it may limit your chances of obtaining additional materials from breaking its weak spots.
That's all you need to know about defeating and capturing Hirabami in Monster Hunter Wilds. Remember to bring Large Dung Pods or use the SOS feature to make the fight more manageable.
