While monsters typically thrive in the wild, they occasionally venture into villages, causing chaos. In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll encounter the formidable Alpha Doshaguma. This guide will equip you with the strategies needed to tackle this beast effectively.

Known Habitats – Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, and Ruins of Wyveria
Breakable Parts – Tail and Forelegs
Recommended Elemental Attack – Fire and Lightning
Effective Status Effects – Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items – Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Doshaguma is surprisingly agile for its size, capable of jumping and dashing around the arena, which makes it challenging to land hits, especially for melee fighters. Utilizing a Flash Pod can temporarily blind the monster, providing a window to attack or mount it for a strategic advantage.
Targeting Doshaguma's legs is key, with the forelegs being particularly vulnerable, boasting a 3-star weakness. While the back legs are less effective with a 2-star weakness, they're still viable. The head, also with a 3-star weakness, is another prime target. Although less damaging, breaking the tail can yield additional monster parts.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, fire and lightning are your best allies against Doshaguma. Bowgun users should stock up on Flaming and Thunder ammo, while melee users can enhance their weapons with fire skills. Aim for the head and torso with fire, and focus on the head with lightning for maximum impact.
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status effect that can lead to an explosion if not managed. Counter this with Nulberries or Deodorant, or dodge-roll three times to shake off the effect.
Leverage the environment to your advantage. Doshaguma's territory often features natural traps. Remember to sheath your weapon before using your slinger to activate these traps, ensuring the monster is positioned correctly for maximum effect.

Capturing Doshaguma alive is another option in Monster Hunter Wilds. To do this, reduce its HP to 20% or less. Then, set a Shock or Pitfall Trap and lure the monster into it using Luring Ammo or meat as bait. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizers until the beast is sedated.
This comprehensive guide covers all you need to know about hunting and capturing Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds. Don't forget to eat a hearty meal before the fight to boost your performance with food buffs.
