Victoria Hand Deck Synergies

  • Victoria Hand empowers cards added to your hand by card generators.
  • Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl serve as your card generators. (Frigga and Moon Girl also facilitate duplication of key cards like Victoria Hand for added buffs or disruptive plays.)
  • Quinjet reduces the cost of generated cards, enabling you to play more.
  • The Collector's power scales with each generated card.
  • Cosmo acts as your tech card, protecting Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand from most enemy attacks when deployed in the same lane.
  • Devil Dinosaur is your primary win condition, ideally played after Moon Girl or when you have numerous generated cards in hand.

Reports suggest Victoria Hand might buff cards generated in the opponent's hand or those that change locations. Whether this is a bug or intended functionality remains unclear. If not a bug, the card text requires clarification, as it explicitly states the buff applies to cards generated in "your" hand. Regardless, this warrants attention when playing Victoria Hand decks.

Effective Victoria Hand Gameplay

Successful Victoria Hand deck utilization hinges on these strategies:

  1. Balance Card Generation and Energy Management: Strive for a full hand to maximize Devil Dinosaur's potential, while simultaneously generating cards and leveraging Victoria Hand's effect. Efficient energy expenditure is crucial; sometimes skipping a turn to maintain a full hand outweighs filling the board.
  2. Employ Joker Cards for Deception: Victoria Hand decks produce numerous random cards. Strategic placement of these cards can mislead opponents and obscure your next move.
  3. Safeguard Your Ongoing Lane: Opponents will likely target your Victoria Hand lane with tech cards like Enchantress. To mitigate this, deploy Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand in the same lane (creating an Ongoing setup) and protect them with Cosmo.

Alternative Discard Deck for Victoria Hand

Victoria Hand is also proving effective in refined discard decks within the current meta. For a potent discard lineup, combine Victoria Hand with: Helicarrier, MODOK, Morbius, Scorn, Blade, Apocalypse, Swarm, Corvus Glaive, Colleen Wing, Lady Sif, and The Collector.

Countering Victoria Hand Strategies

Super Skrull currently provides an effective counter to Victoria Hand. Many players utilize Doctor Doom 2099 decks, which Skrull synergizes with, making him a valuable tech card regardless of whether the opponent employs Victoria Hand or Doom 2099 lineups.

Additional counters include Shadow King and Enchantress. Shadow King can negate Victoria Hand's buffs in a single lane, while Enchantress completely nullifies her buffs by removing all Ongoing effects. Valkyrie, strategically played in a key enemy lane, can also disrupt their Power distribution.

Is Victoria Hand a Valuable Acquisition?

Victoria Hand is a worthwhile investment. Whether acquired through the Spotlight Cache or purchased with Tokens, she offers a strong return. While her effectiveness relies somewhat on RNG, her permanent buffs facilitate the creation of consistent decks. Furthermore, her compatibility with multiple archetypes—such as card-generation and discard—makes her a compelling choice for many players.
