Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide

Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with a seasonal rank system. This guide details the competitive rank reset mechanics.

Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics

At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I will result in a starting rank of Gold II in the next season. The lowest possible rank is Bronze III; players ending below Gold II will begin at Bronze III in the subsequent season.

Rank Reset Timing

The competitive rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1, for instance, commenced on January 10th, indicating the reset will coincide with the end of each subsequent season.

Marvel Rivals Rank Tiers

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Players earn points to ascend through the ranks; every 100 points earned advances the player to the next tier. The ranks are structured as follows:

  • Bronze (III-I)
  • Silver (III-I)
  • Gold (III-I)
  • Platinum (III-I)
  • Diamond (III-I)
  • Grandmaster (III-I)
  • Eternity
  • One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)

Even after reaching Grandmaster I, players can continue earning points to achieve Eternity and One Above All ranks. One Above All requires placement within the top 500 players on the leaderboard.

Season Duration

While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are anticipated to span approximately three months. New seasons will introduce fresh content, including new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample opportunity to climb the ranks.
