NetEase Games has exciting news for Marvel Rivals players: a new hero will be introduced every month and a half as part of the game's ongoing seasons. This announcement was made by the studio's creative director, Guangyun Chen, during an interview with Metro. Chen outlined the team's ambitious post-launch plans, promising a new playable character every half-season, which translates to approximately every six weeks.

"Every season, we'll be rolling out fresh seasonal stories, new maps, and new heroes. We'll actually be breaking down each season into two halves," Chen explained. "The length of one season is three months. And for each half of the season, we will introduce a new hero. We just eventually want to continue to enhance the experience and keep everyone excited in our community."

This schedule raises anticipation among fans about which hero will be unveiled next. Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls set a strong precedent by introducing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman in the first half, with The Thing and the Human Torch slated to launch in the second half. These iconic characters from the Marvel universe are just the beginning, as the game already boasts an impressive roster including Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm.

Looking ahead, there are rumors that Season 2 might feature characters like Blade, with fans also hoping to see Daredevil, Deadpool, and other X-Men members. While it's unclear how NetEase will continue to expand the roster, the game's early success suggests that the team is committed to keeping the content fresh and engaging.

In addition to new heroes, Marvel Rivals Season 1 introduced numerous balance changes and gameplay tweaks, with more updates promised for the future.
