NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals kicks off Season 1: Eternal Night Falls with a generous surprise: free Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins! Dracula's attack on New York City sets the stage, forcing the Fantastic Four to defend the city. This season, running from January 10th to April 11th, 2025, introduces a wave of exciting content.

The Fantastic Four make their debut, with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman available at launch. Human Torch and The Thing are slated for a mid-season update, potentially adding a Duelist and another Vanguard to the game's roster, respectively (unconfirmed).

Players can earn free cosmetic rewards, including the Peni Parker's Blue Tarantula skin (page 3 of the free battle pass) and Scarlet Witch's Emporium Matron skin (page 9). While a free Scarlet Witch emote is included, her MVP animation requires the premium battle pass. A separate Midnight Features event offers a free Thor skin through quest completion.

Beyond free rewards, the in-game shop boasts new villainous skins for Invisible Woman (Malice) and Mister Fantastic (The Maker). These stylish additions, along with the abundance of free cosmetics, have generated significant excitement among Marvel Rivals players. The standard battle pass costs 990 Lattice (approximately $10), but numerous free cosmetic items are available through quest completion and Chrono Token acquisition.
