"Lhea and the Word Spirit: A Roguelite Exploring Life and Death"

Author:Kristen Update:May 13,2025

Solo developer Jo Drolet has announced the upcoming launch of Lhea and the Word Spirit, a captivating new single-player roguelite. In this game, you'll embark on a quest to guide lost souls through mysterious worlds, striving to seal the dreaded In-Between. As you navigate the delicate boundary between life and death, an ancient Word Spirit will be your guide. The game boasts minimalist visuals and introduces an innovative "timeline battle system."

In Lhea and the Word Spirit, players can manipulate the timeline of battles to advance, equipped with a variety of enchanted rings that can be upgraded. These rings not only grant different spells but also unlock hidden secrets, allowing you to unravel the mysteries of the In-Between. Given its roguelite nature, each run through the procedurally generated realms will require different strategies, ensuring that no two adventures are the same.
