Today marks the global release of Alphadia III on Android, bringing the third installment of the beloved Alphadia series to players worldwide. Developed by EXE CREATE and published by KEMCO, this game initially launched in Japan back in October of the previous year.
Set in the year 970 of the Alphadian calendar, Alphadia III immerses players in the climactic phase of the Energi War, a vast conflict centered around a mysterious life force known as energi. The world is split into three dominant factions: the Schwarzschild Empire in the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom in the west, and the Luminea Alliance in the east, each vying for control over this precious resource.
The story takes a pivotal turn with the introduction of Alfonso, a clone soldier. The narrative kicks into gear when a girl named Tarte arrives with news of another clone's death, sparking a transformative moment for Alfonso and setting the stage for the ensuing drama.
Alphadia III retains the series' signature turn-based combat, presented in a charming side-view pixel art style. The gameplay is enriched with various systems, including SP Skills, which accumulate during battles and can dramatically shift the tide when deployed effectively.
Players can also utilize Arrays, which are essentially battle formations or strategies that unlock as you progress, offering versatile approaches to combat based on the challenges you face.
A novel feature in this installment is the Energi Crock. As you journey, you can deposit surplus items into the Crock, which over time, generates Energi Elements. These can be exchanged at shops for equipment or other valuable items.
Throughout the game, you'll encounter various factions and units, such as the peacekeeping alliance Deval and the elite military group Rosenkreutz from Nordsheim. Additionally, the game features different energi clone models, with Nordsheim employing the Berger Series and Schwarzschild utilizing the Delta Series.
Beyond the central narrative, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content, enhancing the overall experience. The game is optimized for controller use, making it an excellent choice for players seeking a more immersive experience. You can purchase Alphadia III on the Google Play Store for $7.99, or opt for the freemium version on Android, which includes ads.
