Once Human launches cross-test platform for mobile and PC as it heads towards launch

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 18,2025

NetEase's post-apocalyptic shooter, Once Human, is launching its first cross-play test, giving players a sneak peek at the cross-progression features arriving with the mobile launch in April. This closed beta confirms seamless transitions between devices.

While NetEase recently celebrated the success of Marvel Rivals, their eldritch co-op shooter, Once Human, initially released on PC, is finally making its way to mobile. The game throws players into a supernatural apocalypse where humanity struggles to survive. Players must band together, rebuild society, and confront monstrous threats, even as fellow survivors might become obstacles.

Once Human's blend of stunning visuals and intense run-and-gun horror gameplay has generated significant anticipation. Previous beta tests paved the way for this cross-progression focused test, a key feature for players switching between devices. This beta likely offers the last chance to play before the April launch.

More Human Than Human

The test runs until March 30th, with sign-ups still open. While Marvel Rivals dominated NetEase's PC releases, Once Human's stylish shooter mechanics seem perfectly suited for mobile, making the upcoming launch excellent news for mobile gamers.
