Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered offers an exhilarating blend of action-packed gameplay and deep customization options. Whether you're sneaking past mechanical beasts or engaging in intense combat, tailoring your outfits can significantly enhance your experience. However, there may come a time when you wish to harness the benefits of multiple outfits simultaneously. Fortunately, with the right approach, you can achieve this, albeit with certain limitations. Let's dive into how you can make this happen.

Remastered Version Of Horizon Zero Dawn Required

To enjoy the dual outfit effects in Horizon Zero Dawn, you must play the Remastered version. A recent update introduced the transmog feature, allowing you to retain the stats and effects of one outfit while adopting the appearance of another. This means you no longer need to compromise on style for the sake of stats.

Pre-Requisite For The Two Outfit Method

To utilize the effects of two outfits, there are specific requirements to keep in mind. Not all outfits are compatible with this method. While one outfit can be of your choosing, the second must be one of the following:

  • Banuk Werak Runner
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (exclusive to New Game Plus)

These outfits are available only in the Frozen Wilds DLC area, meaning you won't be able to use this technique at the game's outset. Thankfully, you don't need to finish the base game to access the DLC.

How To Get Banuk Werak Outfits In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Banuk Werak Runner

Start by reaching the expansion area after defeating the new machine. If you find this challenging, consider reducing the difficulty or upgrading your gear. Once in the area, find a Bluegleam Merchant (marked by a blue Merchant icon) and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept

For the superior Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit, you'll need to complete the "For the Werak" quest, the third main quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC. This mission can be demanding, so come equipped with your best gear or opt for Story mode to ease the challenge. The process for acquiring the Adept version is identical, but it's only available in New Game Plus.

Once you've obtained the second outfit, you're ready to proceed. You don't need to explore further into the Frozen Wilds content if you don't wish to.

What To Do To Get the Effects Of Two Outfits

Begin by equipping the outfit with the stats you desire. Remember, you can enhance an outfit's stats with Weaves. After selecting your preferred outfit, use the transmog feature to overlay the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits. Although these outfits don't boost stats, they offer an auto-healing perk after sustaining damage for a period.

This technique allows you to retain your chosen outfit's stats while benefiting from the auto-healing perk. Pairing this with an outfit like the Shield Weaver makes you nearly invincible, as damage is minimal, and the Banuk Werak outfits' healing will activate after a brief delay.

The healing perk of the Chieftain and Chieftain Adept outfits triggers more quickly than the Banuk Werak Runner's, so if available, opt for these.
