Holiday Event Brings Special Choice: Spark or Sierra

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 02,2025

In Pokemon GO's Holiday Part 1 branching research, trainers face a choice: aid Spark or Sierra. While Niantic's official announcement omits this free research quest (mentioning only Field Research and paid Timed Research), a free path runs December 17th-22nd (9:59 AM local time). This three-part quest culminates in a choice between assisting Team Instinct's Spark or Team GO Rocket's Sierra.

Choosing Spark or Sierra: A Comparative Analysis

The core difference lies in the Pokémon type focus and reward encounter. The choice isn't drastically impactful; it boils down to preferred Pokémon type and desired encounter.
