HandyGames Reveals Way of the Hunter: Wild America Mobile CBT

Get ready to dive into the wild with Way of the Hunter: Wild America as it makes its way to mobile devices. If you've already experienced the thrill on PC, you know what to expect. Developed by Nine Rocks Games, this open-world hunting adventure originally hit the shelves for PC and consoles back in August 2022.

Will You Get Everything in Way of the Hunter Mobile?

Of course, there might be some graphical tweaks due to the limitations of mobile hardware. However, the core gameplay, including the DLC, is set to be included post-launch. Currently, the mobile version is in beta, and THQ Nordic along with HandyGames are gearing up for a full release soon.

HandyGames has shared a tweet about the closed beta test (CBT) and provided a form for interested players to sign up. If you're eager to join the beta, visit their official X account for more details.

Is It the Best Hunting Sim?

If you're into hunting simulations, Way of the Hunter will test your patience and strategic skills. You'll track animals that behave like real wildlife across vast open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe, spanning an impressive 55 square miles of terrain to explore.

The game offers a range of authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, and even allows you to analyze blood splatter and track animal signs to secure your trophy. Take a look at the game in action below.

The ecosystem in Way of the Hunter reacts dynamically to your actions. Overhunting in one area can cause wildlife to migrate, adding a layer of realism and consequence to your hunting trips.

The game also features an in-game economy where you can sell meat to fund better gear, hunting passes, and even taxidermy trophies for your lodge. With both a campaign mode and a co-op mode available, and full controller support on mobile, there's plenty to keep you engaged.
