In a recent development, analyst Matthew Ball stirred the gaming community by suggesting that if Rockstar and Take-Two set new, higher prices for AAA games, it could potentially save the gaming industry. This sparked a debate on whether players would be willing to pay $100 for the entry-level edition of Grand Theft Auto 6. Surprisingly, a survey revealed that over one-third of nearly 7,000 respondents are ready to shell out this amount for the basic version of Rockstar's new sandbox game. This comes at a time when other publishers, like Ubisoft, are pushing for extended editions of their games at premium prices.

The statement by Matthew Ball quickly gained traction online, proposing that if major publishers start selling their games for $100, it could set a precedent for the industry. Ball specifically pointed to Rockstar and Take-Two as potential leaders in this shift.

Looking ahead, Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will receive updates in 2025, aligning the PC version with the enhancements seen on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. While details are sparse, it's expected that these updates will go beyond mere visual improvements.

Currently exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series, the GTA+ subscription might soon be extended to PC gamers. Additionally, certain features of Grand Theft Auto Online, such as Hao's exclusive car modifications that allow vehicles to reach incredibly high speeds, are not yet available on PC. There's a strong possibility that these extreme turbo-tuning options will become accessible to PC players in the near future.
