Many games struggle with optimization issues upon release, often requiring patches to smooth out the gameplay experience. However, *FragPunk* has impressed players with its solid performance right from the start. While there's always room for improvement in terms of frame rates, here are the best *FragPunk* settings and crosshair codes to enhance your gaming experience.
The *FragPunk* settings are organized into five tabs. While most of these settings, aside from the Video tab, are quality-of-life and accessibility options that don't directly impact performance, they can significantly improve your gameplay experience. We'll focus on these settings, leaving other settings at default or customizable to your preference.
The General tab houses most of the quality-of-life and personal preference settings. It's beneficial to experiment with these to find what suits you best. Here are some recommended settings, though personal preference plays a significant role:
This tab also includes options for creating your crosshair, which we'll discuss later.
These tabs allow you to customize your key binds. With Automatic Sprint enabled, the Shift key becomes available, making it a good idea to bind walking to Shift, similar to other tactical shooters like *VALORANT* and *CS2*.
Sensitivity settings are highly personal. Feel free to experiment or use online calculators to convert settings from games like *VALORANT* or *CS2*.
For optimal audio settings, set the Sound Effects volume to a comfortable level and reduce the Music, Announcer, and Button Volume. Enable Character Voice Simplification to minimize unnecessary character banter. Voice Chat settings are up to personal preference.

The Video tab is where you'll find settings that significantly impact performance. These settings prioritize performance over visual quality, which is crucial for a competitive shooter like *FragPunk*. If you have a high-end PC, you might be able to maintain some visual quality, but for most players, these settings are ideal for performance.
