Final Fantasy 14's Patch 7.16 will implement a highly requested feature allowing players to exchange Clouddark Demimateria types. This quality-of-life improvement comes directly from community feedback regarding the Chaotic Alliance Raid rewards.

Demimateria Exchange Coming January 21

Starting with Patch 7.16 on January 21, players can convert their excess Clouddark Demimateria 1 into the more valuable Clouddark Demimateria 2 at a 1:2 ratio. This adjustment makes coveted rewards like the Dais of Darkness mount (requiring 75 Demimateria 2) and A Half Times Two hairstyle (49 Demimateria 2) more accessible.

About the Chaotic Alliance Raid

The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) Alliance Raid debuted on December 24 as part of Patch 7.15. This 24-player challenge reimagines the classic World of Darkness encounter with mechanics borrowed from Shadowbringers' Eden raid series. The current reward system grants both Demimateria types, with bonus Demimateria 2 awarded based on first-time clears.
