Get Your Pet

Start your journey in Diablo 4 Season 7 by visiting a town with a Wardrobe to claim your pet. While pets don’t fight, they automatically collect gold and materials, saving you time.

This feature lets you focus on battles and loot, streamlining your gameplay and boosting efficiency.

Grab Your Mercenaries

If you own the Vessel of Hatred expansion, head to the Den to recruit a Mercenary. Solo players can bring two Mercenaries, making leveling and combat smoother while earning Rapport for extra rewards.

Follow the Seasonal Questline and Level Up

Begin on Normal difficulty and follow the Season 7 questline, marked by green leaf icons on your map, to dive into the new content.

The questline introduces new mechanics like Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and Witch powers. While short, it includes puzzles and requires farming Favors in Headhunt zones.

This questline doubles as the fastest way to reach level 60. Repeatedly defeat Headhunt zone bosses, collect Favors, turn them in, and enhance your Witch powers along the way.

Unlock Your Class Power

If you’ve completed class-specific priority quests on a prior character, you can skip them. Log in with that character on the Eternal realm first to unlock the power automatically for your new Season 7 character at the required level.

For example, to play a Rogue in Season 7, log in with a previous Rogue who completed priority quests. Then, switch to your new Season 7 Rogue, and the class power will unlock once you hit the required level.

Headhunt Zones

While exploring Headhunt zones, focus on completing Whispers. Four zones are active at a time; prioritize smaller, denser ones for higher enemy counts, faster mob farming, and quicker Whisper completion.

Always prioritize these two Whisper quests:

  • Fugitive
  • Shepherd

Shepherd is simple, requiring you to escort animals across the map. Fugitive involves recovering heads or destroying husks by defeating Elites and interacting with roots.

Exchange 10 Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers for a cache. A Raven of the Tree spawns in every Headhunt zone, allowing you to turn in Favors without returning to the Tree.

Witchcraft Powers

Visit the Tree of Whispers to buy and upgrade Witchcraft powers at the Altars of Witchcraft using Restless Rot, dropped by new Rot enemies in the game.

Powers are affordable to purchase but costly to upgrade. Focus on those offering direct damage boosts for significant passive damage improvements.

Certain Witch powers are only available via Forgotten Altars, found in regular dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 difficulty. Consuming a Draught of Whispers boosts your chances of finding a Forgotten Altar.

Rootholds

Rootholds, a new dungeon type in Diablo 4 Season 7, require a Whispering Wood to access, earned through Whispers and Silent Chests.

Rootholds function like a rogue-lite mode, similar to Infernal Hordes. Activate negative modifiers to enhance loot quality. Open Exposed Roots for loot, with modifiers affecting their quantity and quality.

Save Roothold keys for Torment 1, as they’re the best source of Ancestral loot this season.

Occult Gems

Craft Occult Gems at the Tree of Whispers with Gelena. These gems, slotted into jewelry, outperform standard gems significantly.

Occult Gems are a late-game focus, requiring substantial Restless Rot and Heads dropped by Roothold bosses and Fugitives in Headhunt zones. A Draught of Whispers increases Head drop rates from bosses.

Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons

Incorporate Pits and Nightmare Dungeons into your routine. Nightmare Dungeons provide Glyphs, while Pits help level them up.

Farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials to enhance your Uniques.
