State of Decay 3: Microsoft Confirms 2026 Release Window

Industry insider Jez Corden, in a recent Xbox Two podcast, projected a 2026 release for State of Decay 3. While Undead Labs initially aimed for a 2025 launch, Corden suggests an early 2026 debut is now more realistic.

Corden indicated that development is further along than publicly perceived, although he offered no specifics. This news may disappoint fans, yet it's a more positive timeline than previous estimations pointing towards a 2027 release.

June's trailer showcased intense zombie gunfights and Mad Max-style vehicular combat in a post-apocalyptic setting. The narrative unfolds years after the apocalypse, focusing on human survivors establishing and defending settlements against the undead.

State of Decay 3 is slated for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The previous installment launched in 2018.
