Call of Duty: Warzone Shotgun Temporarily Disabled

Call of Duty: Warzone temporarily removes the Reclaimer 18 shotgun. The popular weapon, added from Modern Warfare 3, has been disabled "until further notice," leaving players to speculate on the reasons behind its sudden removal.

Warzone boasts an extensive arsenal, constantly expanding with weapons from new Call of Duty titles. This vast selection presents challenges in maintaining balance and addressing technical issues, particularly with weapons originally designed for different games. The Reclaimer 18, a semi-automatic shotgun based on the SPAS-12, is the latest casualty of this balancing act.

The official announcement lacked specifics regarding the disabling of the Reclaimer 18. Player theories abound, with some pointing to a potentially "glitched" blueprint, Inside Voices, which exhibits unusually high lethality.

Community reaction is mixed. Many applaud the developers' proactive approach to addressing overpowered weapons, suggesting a review of the Reclaimer 18's JAK Devastators aftermarket parts, which enable dual-wielding and significantly increase the weapon's power. While some players fondly recall similar "akimbo shotgun" builds from past games, others found these builds frustrating. Conversely, some players express disappointment, arguing the disabling is overdue and that the Inside Voices blueprint (part of a paid Tracer Pack) created an unintended "pay-to-win" scenario due to insufficient testing before its release.
