In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players take on the role of Alta, a weary fighter who seeks solace and recovery by running a charming tea shop nestled within a magical forest. As you progress, you'll encounter various customers with unique requests, including some who crave coffee despite it not being a standard offering. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

Which Customers Want Coffee in Wanderstop?

In the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a striking humanoid bird visits the tea shop and requests a refined cup of tea. Following this, a group of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry, clad in suits and ties and carrying briefcases, arrive. They are en route to a boardroom to give a presentation but mistakenly end up at Alta's shop.

Despite Alta's attempts to redirect them and offer tea, the businessmen insist on coffee, choosing to wait until it becomes available. Initially, it seems impossible to fulfill their request as Boro, the shop's owner, explains that coffee has never grown in this forest. The situation changes with the arrival of Zenith, an interdimensional figure fascinated by the businessmen.

Zenith, unlike the businessmen, accepts Alta's offer of tea and experiences it as a novel beverage compared to coffee. This interaction sets the stage for unlocking coffee in the game.

How to Unlock Coffee Beans in Wanderstop

To unlock coffee beans, you must serve Zenith a cup of tea infused with something valuable. This item can range from a book or trinket to a pot, mug, small plant, or even a photograph. After trying the tea, Zenith asks about the difference between coffee and tea and what's needed to brew coffee for the businessmen. Upon learning that coffee beans are required, Zenith uses the Infinite Path to introduce coffee beans to the forest, allowing them to grow in the clearing for the first time. Instructions for harvesting and brewing these beans are then added to Alta's Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

Coffee beans appear randomly in the clearing after Zenith's intervention. You can harvest them similarly to other items like fruits and seeds. They can be stored in your ingredients pocket, carried individually, or placed on various surfaces within the shop or outside.

Before brewing, coffee beans must be cleaned. Use the dishwasher and wait for the beans to be delivered to the tea room via dish trains.

To brew coffee, fill the tea maker with water, heat it as required, and then activate the gear to pour the water into the infuser. A single bean is sufficient for brewing coffee, though customers might request additional beans or other ingredients. After brewing, use the gear again to pour the coffee into the kettle and then into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta herself.

Introducing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and provides an additional beverage option for other customers. Although Boro is willing to try it, he admits it's not to his taste.

That's how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

Wanderstop is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
