The Blood of Dawnwalker, new RPG from CD Projekt RED veterans, revealed

Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former CD Projekt RED developers, recently hosted a stream to fully unveil their debut project, The Blood of Dawnwalker. During the event, they showcased an enthralling four-minute cinematic trailer, which serves as the opening to the game's storyline. This dark fantasy action RPG is set to captivate players with its unique narrative and immersive gameplay.

Set in an alternate version of Europe during the mid-14th century, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows the journey of a young man named Coen. After the dramatic events portrayed in the intro, Coen acquires supernatural powers and embarks on a mission to rescue his loved ones from the clutches of vampires. The urgency of his quest is underscored by a tight deadline—Coen has only 30 days and nights to achieve his goal. Time in the game progresses during specific gameplay moments, requiring players to manage it meticulously.

Throughout his journey, Coen faces significant moral dilemmas, deciding whether to cling to his humanity or embrace his emerging vampiric nature. This choice significantly impacts both the gameplay and the unfolding narrative. A central mechanic, known as Blood Hunger, adds an additional layer of tension. If Coen abstains from feeding on blood for too long, he risks losing control, which could result in the accidental death of key characters and unforeseen outcomes.
