If you're diving into Monster Hunter Wilds, simply crafting new armor sets might not always cut it. As the challenges ramp up, upgrading your existing armor becomes a smarter move. One essential resource for this is Armor Spheres. Here’s everything you need to know about getting and using them effectively.

Armor Spheres typically drop as quest rewards in Monster Hunter Wilds. This means you’ll earn them by successfully completing both main and optional quests. Once you defeat Uth Duna for the first time during the main storyline, you'll begin receiving Armor Spheres as part of your quest rewards. From there, most main and optional quests from Uth Duna onward will offer these spheres.

To see what rewards are available for a specific quest, head to your journal, select the quest, and press R1 to view the rewards list. After a hunt, your rewards will appear on the results screen.

This makes Armor Spheres fairly easy to farm. By simply progressing through the main story, you’ll collect plenty of them. But if you’re thorough about tackling all the optional quests along the way, you’ll build up even more.

How to Use Armor Spheres

To upgrade your armor, visit Gemma the smithy while in base camp. Speak with her and navigate to the forge or upgrade menu. Choose a piece of armor you’ve already crafted, then press R1 to switch to the Upgrade tab. Select the armor piece you wish to enhance, and you’ll need to provide Armor Spheres and Zenny. Keep in mind that as the upgrade level increases, so does the cost to reach the next tier.
