According to Bloomberg, Gary confirmed the mass resignation, stating it was a difficult but necessary decision. The team released a joint statement emphasizing the gravity of their action.

Annapurna Pictures' Megan Ellison assured partners of continued support for existing projects and a commitment to interactive entertainment. She highlighted their strategy of integrating storytelling across various platforms.

The situation leaves numerous indie developers in uncertain territory, questioning the future of their partnerships and contractual agreements with Annapurna Interactive. Remedy Entertainment, involved with Control 2, clarified their agreement is with Annapurna Pictures, and they are self-publishing Control 2.

Annapurna Interactive has appointed Hector Sanchez, a co-founder, as the new president. Sources suggest Sanchez intends to fulfill existing contracts and rebuild the team. This follows a broader restructuring announced over a week prior, including the departure of other key personnel.
