Nintendo hat rechtliche Schritte eingeleitet, indem er eine Vorladung von einem kalifornischen Gericht beantragt hat, die Zwietracht dazu zu zwingen, die Identität der Person hinter dem bedeutenden Pokemon -Leck zu offenbaren, das als "Freakleak" oder "TELEALAK" bekannt ist. Oktober online auf, und die Aussage von Game Freak, die am nächsten Tag erschienen, wurden bis zum 10. Oktober zurückgezeichnet. In dieser Aussage wurde keine vertraulichen Unternehmensmaterialien über die Mitarbeiterinformationen hinaus erwähnt.

Der "Freakleak" enthüllte mehrere unangekündigte Projekte, darunter Inhalte, Hintergrundinformationen und frühe Builds verschiedener Pokemon -Spiele. Bemerkenswerterweise enthüllte es Details über das bevorstehende battelnorientierte Spiel "Pokemon Champions", das im Februar offiziell angekündigt wurde, sowie genaue Informationen zu "Pokemon Legends: Za".
