Insomniacs Resistenz 4 -Tonhöhe abgelehnt

Insomniac Games, die für ihre kreativen Bemühungen bekannt waren, hatten den starken Wunsch, Widerstand 4 zu entwickeln, eine Fortsetzung ihrer geliebten Ego-Shooter-Serie. Leider erhielt das Projekt trotz der Begeisterung des Teams und eines überzeugenden Spielfelds nicht das grüne Licht. Diese Offenbarung stammte von Ted Price, dem Gründer und scheidenden Präsidenten von Insomniac Games, während eines kürzlichen Interviews mit lustigen Spielen, als er sich nach einer beeindruckenden 30-jährigen Amtszeit im Studio in den Ruhestand vorbereitet.

Auf die Frage nach einem Lieblingsspielkonzept, das nie zum Tragen kam, teilte Price seine Gedanken zu Widerstand 4 . Er erklärte: "Ja, ich werde einen teilen. Widerstand 4." Er erläuterte, dass das Timing und die Marktchance einfach nicht für das Projekt übereinstimmten. Price drückte die Leidenschaft des Teams für die Erweiterung des Widerstandsuniversums aus und stellte fest: "Wir waren begeistert davon, die Geschichte weiter zu erweitern, weil ich glaube, dass der Widerstand eine wirklich coole alternative Geschichtsbasis eingerichtet hat, in der alles mit der Chimera passieren kann und wo sie gehen und was ihre Ursprünge sind."

Die von Insomniac entwickelte Resistenzreihe nach ihrer Arbeit am Ratchet- und Clank -Franchise befindet sich in einer alternativen Geschichte, in der Aliens 1951 in Großbritannien eindringen. Die Serie, die drei Spiele enthält, die alle für die PlayStation 3 veröffentlicht wurden, hat eine spezielle Fanbase erhalten. Nach der Resistenztrilogie verlagerte Insomniac den Fokus auf andere erfolgreiche Projekte wie Marvels Spider-Man und neue Iterationen von Ratchet und Clank.

Ted Price kündigte seine Pensionierung Anfang dieses Jahres an und kennzeichnete das Ende von über drei Jahrzehnten mit Schlaflosigkeit. Er hat Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider und Jen Huang als Co-Studio ernannt, um das Studio in sein nächstes Kapitel zu führen.

Die jüngste Veröffentlichung von Insomniac, Marvels Spider-Man 2 , wurde gerade auf dem PC zur Verfügung gestellt, und das Studio arbeitet derzeit an Marvels Wolverine , ihrem nächsten erwarteten Titel.
