Bandai Namco hat die schwierige Entscheidung getroffen, die Server von * Blue Protocol * in Japan zu schließen. Die Schließung für den 18. Januar 2025. Diese Ankündigung brachte auch die unglückliche Nachricht, dass die globale Veröffentlichung des Spiels, die von Amazon Games erleichtert werden sollte, abgesagt wurde. Das Unternehmen zitierte ihre Unfähigkeit, die Erwartungen der Fans als Grund für diese schwierige Wahl zu erfüllen.

In einer offiziellen Erklärung drückte Bandai Namco ihr tiefes Bedauern aus: "Wir haben entschieden, dass es über unsere Fähigkeiten hinausgeht, weiterhin einen Service anzubieten, der alle zufriedenstellt." Sie haben auch ihre Enttäuschung darüber vermittelt, dass sie neben Amazon Games nicht mit dem globalen Rollout weitermachen konnten.

Endgültige Updates und Vergütung für Spieler

Als * Blue Protocol * nähert sich seinem Ende, hat Bandai Namco sich verpflichtet, das Spiel mit Updates und neuen Inhalten bis zu seinem letzten Tag zu unterstützen. Die Spieler sollten beachten, dass von nun an die Währung im Spiel, Rosenkugeln, nicht mehr kaufbar oder erstattungsfähig sind. Um die Spieler jedoch zu entschädigen, wird Bandai am ersten Tag eines jeden Monats von September 2024 bis Januar 2025 neben einer täglichen Zuweisung von 250 Rosenkugeln 5.000 Rosenkugeln verteilen. Darüber hinaus werden alle nachfolgenden Saisonkarten kostenlos zur Verfügung stehen. Das letzte Update, Kapitel 7, soll am 18. Dezember 2024 veröffentlicht werden.

Als * Blue Protocol * im Juni 2023 zum ersten Mal in Japan gestartet wurde, erregte es die Aufmerksamkeit von Spielern und verzeichnete über 200.000 gleichzeitige Spieler direkt aus dem Tor. Der Start wurde jedoch durch Serverprobleme geprägt, was die Notfallwartungsbemühungen veranlasste. Im Laufe der Zeit verzeichnete das Spiel einen Rückgang seiner Spielerbasis und stand einer zunehmenden Unzufriedenheit mit einer zunehmenden Unzufriedenheit, wobei die finanziellen Erwartungen von Bandai Namco letztendlich nicht vorgegangen waren. Dies wurde in ihrem Finanzbericht für das am 31. März 2024 endende Geschäftsjahr hervorgehoben und spielte eine bedeutende Rolle bei der Entscheidung, die Dienste des Spiels zu kündigen.
