Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest RPG game launches with PvP battles

Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest has officially launched on mobile devices. This RPG, developed by Hong Kong-based Zenifun Technology with official licensing, faithfully recreates Yoshihiro Togashi's universe of spirit detectives, demon realms, and martial arts tournaments.

The original manga series first appeared in November 1990. Created by Yoshihiro Togashi, it drew inspiration from horror films, Buddhist mythology, and supernatural themes. The beloved series featured everything fans adore - intense street fights, memorable characters, afterlife bureaucracy, and epic demon battles.

What to Expect in Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest?

Set within the original manga and anime's universe, the game begins with the iconic story of Yusuke Urameshi. Players follow the journey of this 14-year-old delinquent who sacrifices himself to save a child from an oncoming car.

The adventure continues through the afterlife as Yusuke becomes an Underworld Detective, solving increasingly dangerous supernatural cases that eventually lead to high-stakes combat.

Players can assemble teams featuring fan-favorite characters including Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama, and other memorable figures. Each character possesses distinct abilities that create exciting strategic combinations.

Using a gacha system, players can collect their favorite characters through the Demon World while enjoying both PvE content and competitive PvP matches in the Dark Tournament mode.

Beyond retelling the main story, Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest explores deeper arcs like the Demon Realm passage and the Demon World Tournament, offering fresh content for longtime fans. Check out the gameplay below.

Game Features and Visuals

Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest combines idle combat mechanics with cinematic story sequences. The game brings back the original Japanese voice cast for authentic character portrayals and presents the world through stylized cel-shaded 3D graphics that capture the series' dynamic energy.
